4) 'E+duco' - The term education has been derived from the Latin word 'E+duco,. The term 'E' means 'out of' and 'duco' means 'to lead’.,

5) 'Educatus' - The term education has been derived from the Latin word 'educatus'. The term 'educatus' means 'to bring up', 'rear', 'educate'. 

6) 'Educatio' - The term education has been derived from the Latin word 'educatio'. The term 'educatio' means 'a breeding', 'a bringing up', 'a rearing'.

  • Swami Vivekananda : According to him, "Education is the manifestation of perfection already in man."

  • Rabindranath Tagore : Tagore defined education as "the process by which character is formed, strength of mind is increased, and intellect is sharpened, as a result of which one can stand on one's own feet."

  • Sri Aurobindo : According to Sri Aurobindo, "Education is not the amount of information that is put into your brain and runs riot there, undigested all your life. We must have life-building, man-making, character-making, assimilation of ideas."

  • According to Socrates : "Education means the bring out of the ideas of universal validity which are latent in the mind of every man."
  • According to Plato : "Education is the capacity to feel pleasure and pain at the right moment it develops in the body and in the soul of the student all the beauty and all the perfection which he capable of." 
  • According to Aristotle : "Education is the creation of a sound mind in a sound body it develop men faculty especially his mind so that he may be able to enjoy the implementation of supreme court goodness and beauty of which perfect happiness essentially consist." 
  • According to John Dewey : "Education is the development of all those capacities in the individual which will enable him to control his environment and fulfil his responsibilities. 
  • According to Heinrich Pestalozzi : "Education is natural harmonious and progressive development of man's innate powers."
